Wed. Night School
On Wednesdays beginning in September and running through May, the congregation gathers for a meal, children's choirs, and a variety of classes. This School of Christian Living is quite popular as the adult classes take place during the during same time period as children's and adult's choir practice.
 
A Year with the New Testament in January: Get to Know Luke and Acts!

The coming of 2012 brings with it a study of the Gospel of Luke; that Gospel filled with Christmas treasures we opened in December. Beginning on the 11th of January, you'll have the chance to see how this story unfolds in Luke's telling of it. You can follow daily readings of two chapters, take part in the blog AYearwiththeNewTestament.blogspot.com, attend lectures at the Wednesday School of Christian Living, or receive CDs of the Wednesday lectures in the mail. Join us on Wednesday evenings.

Dinner Reservations

Food service begins at 5:15 p.m., and classes run from 6:15-7:15 p.m. The cost for meals is $6 for adults, $3 for children age 3-12, and free for children age 2 and under, with a $20 maximum per family. Dinner is prepared in house and offers something for everyone.

Reservations are required for meals and must be made no later than noon on Monday for the particular week. Reservations may be made for the entire semester in advance, or may be made on a weekly basis. You can schedule your dinner reservations in one of two ways:

1) You can now register online! Just click here and simply provide your name, phone number, and indicate which weeks you will be attending. It's that easy!; or

2) You can still call the church office at 383-1815.

You may make a standing reservation for the semester, or on a week by week basis by calling the church office, 383-1815, no later than noon each Monday.

As always, please let the church office know if your plans change and you need to cancel a reservation.  We request cancellations no later than noon each Monday as well.

 

On Wednesday, February 8, 2012 the menu is:

  • Chicken cordon bleu
  • Rice pilaf
  • Broccoli
  • Garden salad and rolls
  • Apple pie
 

On Wednesday, February 15, 2012, the menu is:

  • Meatloaf with Creole sauce
  • Scalloped potatoes
  • Peas and carrots
  • Garden salad and rolls
  • Chocolate chip cookies
 

On Wednesday, February 22, 2012, the menu is:

  • Chicken teriyaki
  • Coconut rice
  • Fruit salad
  • Key lime pie
 

On Wednesday, February 29, 2012, the menu is:

  • Corned beef hash
  • Buttered cabbage
  • Glazed carrots
  • Green salad and bread
  • Cinnamon rolls
 

You have the option of having a plain piece of baked chicken and/or a baked Irish or sweet potato by making a request to the kitchen. Contact Carl Womack (298-9514 or cwomack@fpcnashville.org).
