A note from the Director
Thank you for visiting the website of the First Presbyterian Early Preschool. We hope that you will find all of the answers that you need and get a feel for what we are all about.
The Early Preschool began in 1986 as a Mother's Day Out program, a ministry of First Presbyterian Church. The program has evolved and changed over time to what it has become today, one of the premier preschools in the Nashville area whose mission is to have a servant's heart to serve families to glorify God.
Our program is in the self-study phase of National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation. We are licensed through the Department of Education. We use Handwriting without Tears (www.hwtears.com) and Creative Curriculum (www.teachingstrategies.com). This curriculum allows us to immerse our children in emergent topics of interest while still planning appropriate activities for individual skills and developmental stages. We provide a wonderful combination of a loving, nurturing environment, with superior cognitive, social, physical and spiritual development.
Our staff is a combination of experienced and degreed teachers. They participate in continuous and rigorous trainings in a variety of subjects. This ensures that the Early Preschool is always at the forefront of what is happening in early childhood.
We look forward to the opportunity to serve your child and your family. We believe that relationships are key to what the Early Preschool is really all about.
Tours are by appointment only. Please feel free to call me, Brenda Lutz, with any questions or to schedule a tour blutz@fpcnashville.org or call 298-9580. We love to show off what we do!
