Adult Christian Education
 If there is anything that we know for sure about adult learners, it is that they are not all alike! People differ in their style of learning - some learn better by hearing, others by participating in discussions, still others by actively doing things, then reflecting on the experience. Some people are new to the Christian faith, while others have been on the journey for many years. What this means for us in Adult Education is that we need to provide a great variety of ways for adults to be involved in their own learning. Adult learners at First Presbyterian find many choices available:
Lecture or discussion classes; large and small classes; classes for age groups and those of mixed ages; groups for marrieds, singles, or "anyone"; classes led by peers and those led by professional; Sunday classes, Wednesday classes, and many others. The one common denominator is this - we hope that every adult will find some involvement in learning that is interesting and vital so that the journey of faith continues.
