Consider "the 5:30" ... an evening worship service with a slightly more "relaxed feel". The 5:30 meets each Sunday evening in the First Presbyterian Church Enrichment Center (the new building behind the sanctuary) at ... you guessed it... 5:30!

Gulf Coast Hurricane Recovery Short-Term Mission Service: Trip dates are February 11 - 15, 2010 (returning on Presidents' Day holiday).  Estimated cost is $175 and includes transportation, lodging, and most meals.  Work in Long Beach, MS on new home construction and repair for victims of 2005 Hurricane Katrina.  Trip is appropriate for both genders and all skill levels - no need to have construction tools. Trey grew up in Oklahoma and attended Baylor University where he earned a degree in English literature. After college he took a job leading marine biology mission trips in Florida, then he led numerous mission trips throughout the Western Hemisphere. Trey joined the First Presbyterian Church staff in 2006.

Class Size: 15-35

Age Groups: College students and post-college through age 29.

Curriculum: Verse-by-verse study through various books of the Bible, followed by a discussion concerning the passage's meaning when it was written, as well as its relevance in today's culture.
