Welcome to the Yellow Room…
We care for children 18 months to 2 years. We provide a nurturing and safe environment centered on trust. Our main focus is on developing social skills while introducing Developmentally Appropriate Practices in a variety of cognitive concepts.
We may be little, but you will see us doing art projects, working on manipulatives and sorting work, puzzles, dramatic play, music and movement and we even love to look at books.
We are devoted to being gentle and consistent. Our desire is to help our little ones grow and develop at their own pace while acknowledging that they are capable of so much. We will be busy on the "work" and play of the day, while also having lunch and a rest. Some children go right to their own cot and go to sleep, others prefer to be rocked and held. We try to meet all of their needs and our low ratios with two teachers allow us to do that.
