About Early Preschool
Red Room Parents,

Our year has started out great. We hope that you have seen your child developing into a very intelligent 2-3 year old. We also take this moment to thank you for your cooperation in bringing healthy snacks and lunches.

As we stated at our open house the Early Preschool has adopted Creative Curriculum. Our first few months have been utilized getting to know your child and their interest. Now we are ready to proceed into Creative Curriculum.

We have decided our first topic will be "bears". Part of what is unique about Creative Curriculum is that the topic will be implemented through out all of the learning centers in our classroom. For example, we will be turning our home-living center into a bear den, we will have more books about bears, we will have bears and pieces of their habitat in our block center, we will do art projects pertaining to bears and their habitats, we will go on bear hunts, act like bears and much more.

It is important for you to know that through out the year we will be focusing on valuable learning experiences therefore we will be talking about real bears not cartoon bears. We may talk about the differences, but cartoon bears will not be a main focus.

We would appreciate any materials that you would like to donate pertaining to bears or any ideas you may have. A few things we are looking for are: branches, pictures of real bears, videos of real bears, pine cones and anything else you can think of. We are looking forward to captivating your child's imagination during this first topic exploration

Thank you,
Ms. Barbara and Ms. Jessica
