Summer Sunday School
Who: Three-year-olds through those entering 6th grade
Where: S-Wing/C-Wing/Dining Hall
What: Sunday School that is engaging, interactive and fun for children and adults alike. We will be studying about Boy David, Boy Jesus and Baby Moses.
When: Beginning May 25 through August 17
Why: FPC provides learning opportunities year around to help children connect to God and grow in their faith.

What will the Sunday School class be like for my child in the Pink, Orange, Gold, Platinum or Silver class?
Children in Pink and Orange groups will meet in S-159 with their leaders.
Children in Gold, Platinum and Silver will meet in C-104 with their leaders.

Children will be invited to join the teacher at Circle time where the children will see and hear the Bible story using a teaching method called Godly Play.

After hearing about the story, children are invited to "wonder" more about the story and their connection to God through the story. They will be invited to choose a response medium and will have free creative time.

Each group will enjoy a Feast time together where simple food is shared. More importantly, community is built as children and adults listen to each other and pray together.

Parents of children in Gold, Platinum and Silver can pick their children up at 10:45 in Room C-105.

What will the Sunday School class be like for my child entering first through sixth grade?
Beginning June 1, elementary children will begin Sunday School in the Dining Hall each week and will be divided into age groups. The first part of our Sunday School time together will be spent preparing gifts for children at Preston Taylor Ministries, Meals on Wheels recipients, and receptacles for Five Cents A Meal offerings. Children will then be escorted to different workshop rooms on C-Wing to explore the stories of David, Jesus and Moses using computers, drama, music and art, and geography.

How will I know where to bring my child?
C-Wing will be well labeled with signs to help you find your way. You will be asked to check your child in each week and help with a nametag.

What do I need to do?
Sign up to assist our summer teachers. The more adults who participate with the children, the more each child can grow spiritually as they have an opportunity to share their faith with you and vice versa.

Contact Tina Rose (trose@fpcnashville.org) or sign up at the Children's Welcome Desk on Sunday.
