Volunteering as a parent led to a love of working with kids in youth ministry, Linda came to First Presbyterian Church in 2005 after volunteering and working for six years at her former Nashville church. She finds the joy in youth ministry is watching kids grow in their faith as they find direction and love through their relationship with Christ. Fun, too, (and most days pretty funny!) is working with an outstanding, and incredibly gifted Youth Staff.

Linda grew up, the second of four children, on Signal Mountain (near Chattanooga) and majored in Education at the University of Tennessee. She is married to Rock, and together they have three children: Kathleen who lives and works in Washington DC,  Ellen, a college student, and John, a highschooler and member of the FPC Youth Group.

For fun, Linda enjoys going on trips with her family, spending time with friends, summer time in the North Carolina mountains, reading, and running.

One of her favorite Bible verses comes from Ephesians 3:14-17 - "... I bow my knees before the Father from Whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name. I pray that, according to the riches of His glory, He may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through His Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your heart through love and faith as you are being rooted and grounded in love."
