Katy Miller - Youth Program Administrator
Katy grew up in Snellville, GA and moved to Nashville in 2004 to attend Vanderbilt University. There, she earned a B.S. in Child Development and M.Ed. in Child Studies. She became involved in Vanderbilt’s Presbyterian Campus Ministries, where she met FPC college director Trey Wince on a spring break mission trip to Guatemala. After hearing about his plans for the 5:30 service, she jumped on board and was quick to offer time, ideas, and anything else that was asked. She also began serving on the Young Adult Committee.
When Katy and her roommate, Meghan, were asked to lead a 7 th grade girls’ 10:24 group, they quickly accepted and even braved chaperoning the ski trip. They both loved getting to know the girls, and are excited to keep moving up with them and getting to know them even better.
After working various part-time jobs for several months, Katy has no doubt that God had a plan all along for this position. She is really looking forward to getting to work more with the youth and families, chaperone more trips, and work closely with the great staff at FPC.
Katy enjoys traveling, time with family and friends, reading, board games, playing tennis, and attempting to play golf.
One of Katy’s favorite Bible verses is Isaiah 40:31, “…but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
