Candace was born and raised in Nashville, TN. She grew up going to church at Christ United Methodist Church with her family, but began attending First Presbyterian Church Youth Group in middle school. For two summers in college Candace served as a Summer Youth Intern at FPC. Along with several youth trips, Candace has traveled to Jamaica three times with the FPC adult team and has also served in Ecuador with the college team. Since moving back to Nashville, she enjoys attending the 5:30 at FPC.

Candace grew up in Nashville and attended Oak Hill, Harpeth Hall, and Brentwood Academy. She then headed off to Birmingham to attend Samford University where she also played 4 years of Varsity soccer. She graduated in December 2009 with her degree in Physical Education. She loves working with youth and has always taught, coached, and worked at camps.

Candace recently accepted a job as Program Director with Barefoot Republic Camp, a multi-cultural Christian camp based out of Franklin and located in Scottsville, KY. After working at camp for 6 summers now, she couldn’t imagine life without Barefoot, and can’t wait to see how Barefoot and FPC can come together! She is also the Assistant Varsity Soccer Coach at Brentwood Academy.

Candace loves being outside, playing any kind of sport, eating food, and staying busy!

Her favorite Bible verse is Colossians 3:23- Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.
